Computer Games Development
The Computer Games Development course (SCQF levels 4, 5 and 6) will introduce learners to game genres, trends, and emerging technologies of the computer games industry and cover key areas such as design, media assets and development.
The aim of the course is to develop a foundation of knowledge in techniques that are important to the gaming sector, such as:
- Digital Planning
- Content Design
- Creation of Media assets
The course will also develop both employability and core skills through a mixture of activities ranging from paired work, presenting material, group collaboration, problem solving activities and time management skills.
With coding being an important part of this qualification, the course will also improve learners' computational thinking skills and aim to instil an interest in Computing Science among the young learners of Trinity High School.
